Did J&K Police seize arms & ammunition from a bike? No, this video is from Pakistan

Date:

A video is being shared on social media where some policemen can be seen ripping the seat of a two-wheeler to find tons of magazines and a few weapons.

It is being claimed that the video is from Jammu and Kashmir.

“लोग कहते है की पुलिस जान बुजकर गाड़ी रोकते है अब इसको क्या कहेंगी जनता
पुलिस जम्मू कश्मीर ।” the caption read.

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the video, we found that the video is from Pakistan.

We found that the ‘ Black shirt and khaki pants’ is the uniform of Pakistan police.

We ran a search on different social media platform using the keywords ‘police arrested smuggler arms bike’ and found several posts stating that Kohat police recovered a large number of weapons and ammunition.

On further investigation, we found that this video was uploaded on the official page of Kohat Police, DPO Kohat, on September 17, 2019.

This proves that the video is from Pakistan and not from J&K.
