Barking dogs also bite killl!

Date:

New Delhi: While most of us would be sympathetic towards stray dogs, treating them to an occasional biscuit feast, assuming them to be harmless friends of man, in many instances, they can turn up on you and bite you when you least expect them to.

For a seven-year-old in the Okhla area of southwest Delhi, these dogs brought his doom.

A pack of stray dogs bit this boy to death while he was playing near his house and tripped and fell on one of the dogs.

After Mamun fell on a dog, it started barking, making the other packs of dogs join it, biting him and killing him.

No amount of stones that Munmun’s friends pelted on the dogs managed to scare them, after which the boys rushed to inform his family. Upon returning they found Munmun unconscious in a pool of blood.

His father Sabir Ansari, a rickshaw-puller, rushed him to the Holy Family hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
