Sadhus took out rally in support of CAA? Don’t fall for the FAKE claim

A video of a huge crowd is doing rounds on social media and it has been claimed that the video is of ‘a procession of Sadhus, Agoras, in Haridwar in support of CAA’.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the claim attached with the video to be FAKE.

We extracted the keyframes of the video and on putting them through Reverse Image Search, we came across a Facebook post dated March 11th, 2019 which featured the same video.

The caption with the video read: “Kumbh Mela Naga sadhu”

On digging further we found the same video on YouTube dated March 3rd, 2019 with a title ‘Junaghad Naga bava’ and the caption read- ‘Maha shiv ratri’.

Well, NewsMobile independently cannot establish the origin of the video, but the above information proves that viral video is not related to CAA.
