FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the claim attached to it to be false.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search, we came across a Tweet by a journalist Revathi Rajeevan dated January 21st, 2020. The tweet had the same picture and the caption read, “Protest against NRC, NPR, CAA in Shivajinagar, Bengaluru now.”

In another tweet Rajeevan clarified that she had clicked the picture in question and it is from Bengaluru and NOT from Indore.

“Not aware of this protest by advocates but the picture is from Shivajinagar, Bengaluru, clicked by me. Had tweeted this on Tuesday,” his tweet read.

Hence, the above information proves that the viral picture is being shared with a false claim.
