The ropeway is expected to enhance tourism in the state and Mussoorie will now be capable of transporting 1000 to 1200 people.
To streamline the transportation process, the starting point of the ropeway will be connected to ISBT, railway station and the airport.
It will also help in solving the issue of traffic, congestion and parking problems, especially during the peak season.
The project will connect Purkal Village in Dehradun to Library Chowk in Mussoorie.
The tentative plans of the 5.5 km ropeway route show that there will be 23 towers and the route will cross Kyarkuli, Bhatta Village and ITBP.
