Further, the government has held that no transportation fees can be levied against the students.

The order read: “We have been apprised that many schools are forcing parents to pay up quarterly fee despite directives issued by the government. This order asserts that schools may ask parents only for monthly fees and not quarterly fees in the lockdown period”.

The order also warns of strict action against non-compliance and warns against students being excluded from school activities incase of parent’s inability to pay the fee.

A similar model has also been adopted by Uttar Pradesh.
