Ratan Tata himself took to Twitter to clarify that he has NOT purchased a 50% stake in the company.

“As happy as I am to support this venture, it has been a minority token investment.
I have not purchased 50% stake in the company,” Tata wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Hence, the above information proves that the viral news is misleading.
