With India reporting 4,970 cases in the last 24 hours, the total number of infections crossed the 1 lakh-mark to reach 101,139, while the death toll rose to 3,163.

1. During the last 24 hours, a total of 2,350 COVID-19 patients have been cured. Thus, so far, a total of 39,174 patients have been cured of COVID-19. This means a recovery rate of 38.73 percent amongst COVID-19 patients. The recovery rate is improving continuously.
2. In the next three days, anyone wanting to go home will be taken home. More trains to start and bookings will be possible from June 1 onwards. Any states who want to facilitate sending migrants home will also be able to do so, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said
3. Indian Railways to run 200 non-AC trains from 1st June everyday as per the time table; online booking for these to begin soon, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said.
4. The Centre on Tuesday issued a Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) for transportation of stranded migrant workers between states, which will designate nodal authorities and make necessary arrangements for receiving and sending them, amid the novel coronavirus-induced lockdown.
5. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has asked states to allow plying of more trains to ferry migrant workers, adding that more clarity is needed about the departure of trains or buses. It also said that lack of clarity about running of trains, buses coupled with rumours is causing unrest amongst migrant workers.
6. 338 new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in Rajasthan today; taking the cumulative positive cases to 5845. 5 deaths have been reported today and death toll is at 143.

8. DGCA has allowed Approved Training Organization to function for simulator utilisation only, for Pilots. Non-Scheduled Operator Permit (NSOP) operators are allowed to conduct non-revenue local training flights. DGCA has directed that social distancing/disinfecting to be strictly followed.
9. Liquor shops will be allowed to be open across Jammu and Kashmir from Wednesday with the Union Territory easing restrictions as part of its new lockdown guidelines till May 31.
