AIADMK Files Complaint Against Sasikala For Using Party Flag

Date:

AIADMK on Thursday lodged a police complaint against V K Sasikala for “illegally” using the party flag on her car.

AIADMK leaders D Jayakumar, KP Munusamy, CV Shanmugam & E Madhusudhanan filed complaint with DGP against VK Sasikala using their party’s flag. They say, “Only AIADMK cadres, leaders & members should use the flag. While being released from jail, she had used our flag”

While AIADMK condemned her using the party flag as Sasikala is not even a “grass-root member”, her nephew TTV Dhinakaran justified her actions saying that she is the party’s “general secretary”.

Sentenced to four years of rigorous imprisonment in a Rs 66 crore disproportionate assets case, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s close aide was finally released from Parappana Agrahara Prison in Bengaluru last week. She is however undergoing treatment in a local hospital for COVID-19.
