Fact Check: Does UP CM Yogi Adityanath Have Assets Worth Just Rs 72,000? Here’s The Truth

Date:

Amid the ongoing assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, a post has surfaced on social media platforms talking about assets of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It is being claimed that his total assets amount to just Rs 72,000.

A Facebook user shared the image with a caption in Hindi that roughly translates to, “Gold earing 20 grams price 49000 (buy price). Rudraksha Mala weight 10 grams price 10000. Samsung mobile price 12000. Total assets 72000. This is the total property of Yogi Maharaj. That is why in Treta Yuga Ram ji said that there can be no better king than a monk. Now you tell, can you compare your Yogi Maharaj with the children of casteist corrupt leaders. Only by luck, a state gets a selfless brave monk-like Yogi. And UP people are very lucky. #TrustYogi”
