  • The US has urged its citizens to reconsider travel to Sri Lanka as the country is experiencing shortages of fuel and cooking gas as well as some medicines and essential food items, due to the ongoing economic situation in the country.
  • Sri Lankan President in a statement mentioned that a group of three people are appointed and they are in talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as the country navigates through the economic crisis.
