COVID Update: India Logs 2,897 New Cases, 54 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

New Delhi: India reported 2,897 new COVID cases on Wednesday. The active caseload in the country stood at 19,494 cases.

Delhi recorded 1,118 new COVID-related cases with 1,015 recoveries and one death in the last 24 hours.

54 fatalities were recorded in the country in the last 24 hours.

Telangana reported 28 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, including 20 cases from Hyderabad.

According to Union Health Ministry data, 190.65 crore COVID vaccine doses were administered across the country till Tuesday.

Madhya Pradesh recorded 30 new COVID-related cases with an active caseload of 200 in the last 24 hours.

According to John Hopkins University reports, the global covid caseload has crossed 518.7 million on Wednesday.

The global death toll has crossed the 6.25 million mark since the outbreak.

Bill Gates has tested positive for COVID and is experiencing mild symptoms.

South Australia recorded 4,299 new COVID-related cases in the last 24 hours.

Queensland reported a spike in the number of COVID cases with 7,427 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours.
