Harare: India crushed Zimbabwe by five wickets securing the series after winning the second consecutive game on Saturday.
Skipper KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Indian bowling attack went through the Zimbabwe batting lineup. Shardul Thakur bagged three wickets in the opening spell. All the other bowlers including Siraj, Deepak Hooda, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Prasidh Krishna bagged one wicket each.
Sean Williams and Ryan Buri played a crucial knock of 42 and 39 runs in the first innings taking the total to 161 runs.
KL Rahul returned to the pavilion early after getting dismissed by Victor Nyauchi. Shikhar Dhawan managed to score 33 runs in 21 deliveries.
Sanju Samson played a crucial knock of 43 runs in 39 deliveries. Samson further made an impact through his wicketkeeping after taking an acrobatic catch in the first over.
With this win, India registered the 14th straight ODI win against Zimbabwe and record their 10th series win of 2022.
