New Delhi: The Indian music-maestro AR Rahman shared a heartfelt gratitude note after being felicitated with the honour of having a street named after him in Canada’s Markham city.
Grammy-winner AR Rahman took to Twitter and added that “I never imagined this in my life. I am very grateful to all of you, the Mayor of Markham, Canada (Frank Scarpitti). And counsellors, Indian Consulate General (Apoorva Srivastava) and people of Canada.”

He further added that his name does not belong to just him. It means merciful. The merciful is the quality of the common God of all. He further thanked the people of India and all the people who have been part of his journey and work so far.
