India To Clash With South Africa In Second ODI Match

Date:

Ranchi: After suffering a crushing defeat in the first ODI match, India will clash with South Africa in the second game on Sunday at the JSCA International Stadium.

South African captain Keshav Maharaj won the toss and elected to bat first against Men In Blue.

Shikhar Dhawan-led ODI side is struggling with both bat and bowl in the series. The pace attack including Avesh Khan and Mohammed Siraj remained wicketless in the last game. Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the series after being injured.

The batting attack including the opening pair needs to spend sometime in the middle and get crucial runs for the side. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan had a poor start in the series after being dismissed for four runs while Shubman Gill was dismissed for three runs.

The slow innings of Rituraj Gaikwad who scored 19 runs in 49 deliveries were one of the reasons behind the loss.

Kuldeep Yadav and Shradul Thakur make it to the playing XI after impressive performances in the first match.

Washington Sundar and Shahbaz Ahmed will be looking to make impact after getting selected in the plating XI of the match.
