FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.

With a keyword search, we found a report on a Ghana-based website featuring Didier Drogba’s reactions after such posts went viral. According to the report, Drogba has denied reports that he has converted from Christianity to Islam.

We could not find any credible media report corroborating the viral claim.

A tweet by Drogba says: “I haven’t changed religion. This was just me paying respect to my Muslim brothers I was visiting in my village.”

Thus, it is evident from the above information that the viral claim stating that Didier Drogba has converted to Islam is misleading.
