PMO To Hold High-Level Meet On Joshimath Situation

New Delhi: A high-level meeting at the Prime Minister’s office (PMO) will take place on Sunday around the Joshimath situation.

According to reports, Dr P.K. Mishra, principal secretary to PM Modi is scheduled to hold a review meeting with Cabinet Secretary, senior government officials and officials from National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) at the PMO.

The representatives from Joshimath will be part of the meeting through video conference on the issue. The report further added senior officers of Uttarakhand will also be present in the meeting through Video conferencing.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of all possible help to the state in the wake of land subsidence in Joshimath.

CM Dhami further added, “PM Modi had a telephone conversation with me asking about the situation in Joshimath and the steps taken for the rehabilitation and safety of people,”.
