FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.

Conducting a Google Keyword Search, we found an article with a byline ‘Fauxy’ on the website thefauxy.com. The headline, image, and content of the article match exactly with the news clipping in the viral post.

The article carries a disclaimer that Fauxy is an entertainment portal and the content on the website is purely for entertainment purpose.

The ‘About Us’ section of the website also states that the content of the website is purely for entertainment purposes.

If the Pakistani PM had made such an announcement, it would have been covered by other media organisations. We could not find any credible source of news confirming the viral claims. Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral screenshot’s claim is false.
