Vehicles Torched In Bengal Amid Clash During Ram Navami Procession

Kolkata: The police personnel carried out a flag march in West Bengal’s Howrah district after reports of chaos and ruckus during a Ram Navami procession.

Videos posted by newswire agency ANI showed several vehicles being torched.

According to reports, a clash broke out between two groups.

According to a NDTV report quoting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee warned the rioters of their action and said “rioters are the enemy of the country.”

Incidents of clashes were also reported from other parts of the country.

Newswire PTI reported an incident of stone pelting during a procession in Fatehpura area of Vadodara in Gujarat.

In another incident, RAF personnel conducted a flag march in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar after a clash broke out between two groups in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’s Kiradpura area.
