New Delhi: Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking additional humanitarian aid, including medicines and medical equipment, from India.
According to media reports, the letter was given by Ukraine Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzapharova to Meenakshi Lekhi, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture.
The report further added that Ukraine has sought President Zelenskyy’s participation in the G20 meeting in September under the presidency of India.
Talking to Twitter, Meenakshi Lekhi assured India’s assistance towards “enhanced humanitarian assistance.”
Deputy Foreign Minister Dzapharova assured that Ukraine will allow Indian students to take the Unified State Qualification Exam in their country of domicile. This will come in as a relief to thousands of students who were forced to leave Ukraine when the war broke out.
A statement reportedly added that “the Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister also proposed that rebuilding infrastructure in Ukraine could be an opportunity for Indian companies.”
