Noida: The husband of a 61-year-old Supreme Court lawyer was arrested on Monday in connection with her murder in Noida.
The incident unfolded at their residence in Noida Sector 30, where Renu Sinha’s dead body was discovered in the bathroom.
Meanwhile, the deceased lawyer’s husband, Nitin Nath Sinha, was found hiding in the bungalow’s storage room, where he had evaded authorities for over 36 hours before being located through his phone’s tracking signal.
Police tracked Sinha’s phone, which led them to the bungalow. They later found him hiding in a storeroom and arrested him.
Reports suggest that the motive behind the alleged murder was a disagreement between the couple regarding the sale of their bungalow. Nath was inclined towards selling the property and had even accepted a sum from a potential buyer. However, his lawyer wife was steadfast in her reluctance to part with the bungalow. This discord escalated into frequent altercations between the couple.
