Many users are claiming it to be recent and linking it to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. And the Congress has been criticised for supporting the leader, who openly slaughtered cows in Kerala.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with the following caption:

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the viral picture, the NM team found a tweet, dated April 25, 2019, on an unverified profile. The picture matches with viral image, indicating that it cannot be linked to the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
Searching further, we came across the same selfies on the official Facebook account of Makkuty, dated April 20, 2019, with a caption informing that he met with Priyanka Gandhi at Kannur airport. This confirms that the selfie is not recent.
It is worth noting that Makkuty was, indeed, arrested for cow slaughter in 2017, according to a news article in OnManorama. However, given that the selfie was taken in 2019, it cannot be linked to the 2024 elections.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming Priyanka Gandhi recently met with a Congress leader who was arrested for cow slaughter, is misleading.
