Will vote for Nitish Kumar, Modi should suffer defeat: Ram Jethmalani

Date:

Patna: Senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani on Sunday came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of cheating the people of India and said that he must be punished.

Jethmalani also said that he wants him defeated in the upcoming Bihar Assembly election.

The former Rajya Sabha member said if he has to vote for somebody then he’ll vote for JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar’s government.

“If I have to vote in Bihar Assembly election, I will vote for Nitish Kumar. I want Modi defeated. He has cheated people,” he said.

Modi and Jethmalani have not been in best of terms lately. He had opposed Modi’s candidature for party post in 2013.

In May, Jethmalani had opened an onslaught on the PM. He has said Modi and his close aide and BJP President Amit Shah had failed on poll promise of bringing back the illegal money.
