Distrust deepens between warring factions in AAP; politicos react

Date:

New Delhi: Within two months after the Aam Aadmi Party stormed to power in Delhi, the rift within it is wide in open, with the party saying on Thursday that senior leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav had quit its national executive and the two men vehemently denying this.

Politicos from various parties gave mixed reactions on the matter. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was turning out to be just like the Congress, where one man and one family rules.

Earlier, AAP leader Kumar Vishwas had accused Yadav of being ‘two-faced’, claiming the latter’s statements would vary depending on his audience, with different remarks made before the party and the media. The AAP’s 320-member national council meeting will be held on Saturday.
