CRPF convoy attacked in J&K, 5 jawans injured

Five jawans have been injured after a group of unidentified gunmen attacked the CRPF convoy in Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir.

More details awaited.

This attack comes close on the heels of Friday’s encounter in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Two militants and a soldier were killed in the encounter.

Security forces had launched an anti-militancy operation in Wadder Bala village of Handwara in Kupwara district following information about the presence of two to three heavily armed militants in the area.
