In a drive against country-made liquor in Bihar, police today busted 150 illicit liquor brewing units at Murarpur in this district.
Acting on a tip off, a large number of policemen raided 150 illicit liquor brewing units in the village and drained out over 1000 litres of alcohol, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Parshuram Singh said.
Singh, who led the drive, said police seized a large quantity of equipment, raw materials and utensils used for processing country-made liquor.
No arrest could be made as the owners and labourers at those illicit liquor brewing units escaped ahead of police raid, the SDPO said.
