AIB Knockout knocked out from YouTube

Date:

Mumbai: If you are among those who haven’t watched the AIB Knockout Roast yet, then you are going to be disappointed as the members of All India Bakchod (AIB) have removed the three part video from YouTube.

Late Tuesday night, All India Bakchod announced their decision to remove the massive hit video – The AIB Knockout – on Twitter.

They tweeted:

This status was retweeted by AIB’s Co-founder Tanmay Bhat. This particular news by AIB caused chaos among Twitterati, who feel Maharashtra Government’s orders to investigate whether the roast was vulgar and whether it violated laws has led them to take this major decision.

The celebrity roast, which is first of its kind in India, featured a panel of eight AIB members with filmmaker Karan Johar, roasted stars like Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor on their professional and personal lives.

The show, which was questioned by the Maharashtra Government, ran into trouble when several organisations filed FIRs against AIB for encouraging indecent content.

Even Censor board member Ashoke Pandit expressed his displeasure with the videos.

“They can’t use the language in public that is not decent in any form. The entire show was abnormal,” Pandit said.

Pandit, however, was slammed by Twitter community for his offensive comments against Karan Johar and his family.

The online community seems divided over the issue as three different hashtags have been trending on twitter.

The AIB roast, staged in Mumbai in December for raising money for charity, was attended by 4,000 people including Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap among others.
