Delhi malls evacuated following a mock drill

New Delhi: In Delhi’s tony malls in Vasant Kunj DLF Emporio, Promenade and Ambience Mall a bomb threat turned out to be a mock drill. Sources confirm to NewsMobile that the drill was conducted to check the response of the personnel and the time taken to evacuate the shoppers.

The drill did create a panic and many shoppers flooded the social media with messages.

Delhi Police sources say security has been beefed around Delhi, NCR in the run up to the Republic Day Celebrations and the visit of the US President Barack Obama to Delhi on January 26th.
