Now ‘Say Thanks’ with Facebook

Date:

San Francisco: Millions of people use Facebook every day to connect with the people and things that matter to them most. Your friends are at the core of your Facebook experience, and the social networking site is always looking for new ways to help you celebrate those friendships.

After keeping track of our thoughts, our social life and everything else in between, Facebook has planned on helping us express our love and thanks to our beloved too.

On Friday, Facebook announced their new feature ‘Say Thanks’, an experience that lets you create personalised video cards for your friends on Facebook.

To create a Say Thanks video, one has to visit ‘facebook.com/thanks’. Once you choose a friend, Facebook will generate a preview of the video. You’ll have the ability to select a different theme and edit photos and posts that represent your friendship.

When you are satisfied with the video, click “Share” – you will have the option of writing a personalised message before posting. The video will post on your Timeline and your friend will be tagged, so it will show up on their Timeline as well.

Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg was the first one to share the video and tweet it. “I met an amazing girl on this day exactly 11 years ago. Priscilla, thank you for keeping me grounded, and for helping me keep my sense of wonder about the world as we grow together.”

‘Say Thanks’ officially rolled out globally on both desktop and mobile in English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish.
