Pune: The accused of the Pune car accident and his father on Thursday have brought a new twist to the tale. Both have said that their driver was driving when the crash happened. These claims have been backed by two friends of the accused who were with him during the crash.
The accused is the son of a real estate developer Vishal Agarwal, who was in the car which crashed into the motorbike killing two people. A day before a court in Pune cancelled the bail given to him and sent him to the juvenile centre. However, the latest update in the case has suggested that the family driver who was allegedly driving the Porsche on the fateful night is being questioned by the police again on Thursday.
The family driver in his first statement had claimed that he was driving the Porsche when the accident took place. Meanwhile, the mobile phone of Vishal Agarwal has been recovered and efforts are on to uncover the details of the accident. Pune crime branch is also questioning Surendra Agarwal, the grandfather of the 17-year-old boy in connection with the case. The police are questioning him to get more information about his son and grandson, and conversations he had with them on the day of the accident to dig deeper into the case.
