This month the assets of owner of defunct-airlines Kingfisher Vijay Mallya goes under hammer. His properties and movable assets Assets worth Rs 700 crores, from couches, wardrobe to jet plane will be on sale by banks. The list will also include the headquarters Kingfisher House near Mumbai airport.
All the cars and furnitures, his plush personal jet, Kingfisher Villa in Goa (often in news for parties) along with the trademark, “Fly with Good Times”, will be on sale. Once the Kingfisher trademark was valued around Rs 4000 crores by an agency.
In an earlier attempt, to sell Kingfisher jet and the Kingfisher House with a built-up area of over 17,000 sq ft, not a single bidder turned up. Some movable assets will be auctioned on August 25th.
Mallya owes Rs 9,000 crore including interest accrued and penalties to his 17 lenders.
