Pak violates ceasefire again

Date:

Jammu: Pakistan violated ceasefire again on Wednesday in Balakote area of Poonch sector.

Thousands have fled the border areas for fear of being caught in the crossfire, over 8 have lost their lives and close to 100 have been injured so far.

Firing began on October 1, when ceasefire was violated in the same area, with Indian jawans retaliating strongly to the attack. The number of violations have crossed 35, targeting 60 Border out Posts (BoPs) and over 130 border hamlets in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

The LoC has been in high tension over the past couple of weeks, after the Pakistani attacks have become more brazen in nature, shelling the entire IB in their attacks. Pakistani intruders also made use of the Jammu and Kashmir floods, infiltrating into the country, but were crushed with a heavy hand, with as many as 18 infiltrators being killed.

The Indian government seems to be in no mood to take this lying down, as the usual Indian strategy of holding talks with the Pakistani Government isn’t bound to happen, as per sources in New Delhi.
