CPI stages demo to protest lack of measures to curb inflation

Puducherry, Aug 17 (PTI) Volunteers of Communist Partyof India (CPI) today held demonstrations in front of the HeadPost office and a few other centres in Puducherry and Karaikalregions to protest the lack of measures by both the Centraland State governments to curb price rise. Protesters raised slogans condemning the ‘failure ofthe governments’ to control price rise. They also sought among other things uninterruptedsupply of essential commodities to the family ration cardholders through ration shops.
