Cong using Khurshid, Digvijay to convey its ‘mann ki baat’:BJP

Date:

New Delhi, Aug 17 (PTI) BJP today accused Congress ofusing its senior leaders like Salman Khurshid and DigvijaySingh to convey its ‘mann ki baat’, a reference of Khurshid’scontinued criticism of the government’s bringing up PoK andBalochistan issues against his party’s official stand. "Congress should make it clear that if it does not agreewith Khurshid’s statement, then what action is it takingagainst him? Congress does not use its official spokespersonsto convey its ‘mann ki baat’ but senior leaders like Khurshidand Digvijay Singh," its spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said. He also defended Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar’scomparison of Pakistan with hell, saying it is a threat to thewhole world and people there live under a security blanket"tighter than that in Tihar jail". At the press conference, he also broached up the innerpower struggle within the Samajwadi Party. Taking a dig at it, Hussain said while its presidentMulayam Singh Yadav advises UP Chief Minister and his sonAkhilesh Yadav to be like Mughal king Akbar, its inner partystruggle is reminiscent of the rule of Aurangzeb and allegedthat governance has collapsed in the state. "Mulayam Singh Yadav may ask Akhilesh to be like Akbar butwhat is happening in UP is reminiscent more of the times ofkings Shahjahan and Aurangzeb which were marked by war withinthe ruling family. The government is jolted by this internalpower battle and there is no governance there," Hussain said.PTI KRZMN
