Wanted criminal arrested in Dwarka

New Delhi, Aug 19 (PTI) A criminal wanted in nearly 100robbery and snatching cases and carrying a reward of Rs 50,000was arrested here, police said today. Manish, 35, was arrested by team of Special Cell from OldPalam Road Dwarka on August 17. He tried to flee by firing atthe policemen in which one constable Ombir had a narrowescape, said a statement by Special Cell. On an earlier occasion in June, Daryaganj police team hadlaid a trap to catch Manish near Geeta Colony flyover, but hedodged the waiting police party as a pillion rider and hisclose aide Manoj shot at them and injured a constable, itsaid. Following the incident, a cash reward of Rs 50,000 wasannounced for his arrest by the Commissioner of Police. The accused is wanted in nearly 100 cases and has beeninvolved in 61 snatching cases.
