Nagaland welcomes Children’s film festival

Mumbai, Aug 25 (PTI) A week-long film festival, organisedby the Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI), has beenorganised in Nagaland. Titled "CFSI Film Bonanza", the festival opened on August23. It has been jointly organised by CFSI and Directorate ofSchool Education of the Government of Nagaland, will covermajor cities of Nagaland, including Kohima, Wokha and Dimapurduring the week, according to a CFSI release here today. Films like "Kima’s Lode Beyond the Class" by ZualaChhangte, "Nokpokliba" by Meren Imchen, "Goopi Gawaiyaa BaghaBajaiyaa" by Shilpa Ranade, "Krish, Trish & Batliboy" directedby Munjal Shroff and Tilakraj Shetty will be showcased,thereby offering a wholesome entertainment to the childrenfrom North-East. "We have been very active in bringing high-qualitychildren’s entertainment to the North-East by way of exposingthem to CFSI films for the last few years. We have seen manycreative personnel from the North-East, being involved invarious film making projects," Shravan Kumar, CEO, CFSI, said. CFSI had earlier this year presented the second leg of19th International Children’s Film Festival at Gangtok inSikkim. This festival also covered West Sikkim wherein ittravelled through districts of Geyzing, Yokosm, Bermoik Martamand Tharpuss. PTI SVS ARSPSHSRE
