Widow raped in Tamil Nadu

Rameswaram (TN), Sep 1 (PTI) A 25-year old woman, whosehusband died last month, was allegedly raped by a man at avillage near here, police said today. The woman, was raped at her home in Yerakadu by Karthick(30), a resident of the same village, last night, they said. Following a complaint by the woman, a case had beenregistered and search is on for the accused, police said. Around 150 residents of the village gathered in front ofthe DSP’s office here and staged a protest seeking immediatearrest of the culprit and left after being assured of action,they said.
