Alert driver steers bus to roadside after heart attack; dies

Ariyalur (TN), Sep 4 (PTI) An alert bus driver showedgreat presence of mind when he steered the vehicle with 20people onboard to the roadside after suffering a heart attackat nearby Keezhapavoor today, but later collapsed on thesteering wheel and died. Ganesan (45) was driving the government bus from Salem toThanjavur when he suffered a massive heart attack. However, hemanaged to steer the vehicle to the roadside before collapsingon the wheel, police said. The bus hit a wall and came to a halt. It suffered minordamages. The driver was rushed to a hospital, but died en route,they said. The passengers were sent to their onward destination byanother bus. PTI SSN APRSRY
