11 shifted in Odisha in bureaucracy reshuffle

Bhubaneswar: In a major reshuffle, Odisha government transferred at least 11 IAS officers, officials said.

Fisheries and animal resources development secretary B P Sethi (1995 batch IAS) has been transfered and posted as the secretary of rural development with additional charge of special relief commissioner (SRC).

Officer of 1991 batch, M S Padhi, has been appointed as new transport commissioner while 1992 batch officer C S Kumar is the new principal secretary of revenue and disaster management department.

Similarly, 1996 batch officer Vir Vikram Yadav has been appointed as the new secretary of excise department and he would continue as secretary of science and technology department, officials said.

Vishal Gagan (1998 batch) is the new secretary of fisheries and animal resource development with additional charge of managing director of Odisha Milk Federation (OMFED).

Bhasker Jyoti Sarma of 1999 batch has been appointed as the special secretary of agriculture and farmers empowerment department.

Srikant Prusty, an officer of 2003 batch, has been appointed as the new additional secretary of higher education department while 2004 batch officer Roopa Mishra is the new director of drinking water and sanitation department. She is given additional charge of the Orissa Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA).

Officer of 2007 batch Sachin R Jadav is the new labour commissioner while 2008 batch officer M Muthukumar has been appointed as the director of horticulture.
