Now get Domino’s, McDonald’s delivered on Rajdhani, Shatabdi trains

Date:

From June 15 onwards, passengers travelling on Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains will be able to eat fast food from their favourite restaurants as the Indian Railways has tied up fast food chains like Haldiram’s Domino’s, McDonald’s, and Sagar Ratna among others.

Passengers will be able to avail of the service by pre-ordering their food from the catering portal (www.ecatering.irctc.co.in/eCatering/) of the IRCTC. Orders will need to be placed at least two hours prior to the train’s arrival at the delivery station. IRCTC handles the responsibility for the deliveries being delivered to passengers within the time of the train’s halt at a particular station. Payment can be made either online or at the time of delivery. Orders can be placed either online, via phone call, or by SMS.

In June last year, the railways conducted a 45-day trial on Patna Rajdhani, Delhi-Mumbai August Kranti Rajdhani, Pune-Secunderabad Shatabdi and Howrah-Puri Shatabdi.
