Starring Deepika, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles, the flick has run into trouble several times, as members of several Rajput factions have accused director Sanjay Leela Bhansali of distorting history. The film was originally slated for release on December 1 last year.

Earlier on Tuesday, Supreme Court dismissed the plea of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh governments seeking to ban Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’.

The top court has ordered the states to abide by its earlier order.
