There is no denying the fact that gambling is a really bad thing and habit. More often than not the people involved in it suffer. But then there is no denying from the fact that is a huge addiction among youths and people either.
As was proved, gambling also affects people who speak against it or complain about it. A 16-year-old boy in South Delhi’s JJ Camp under Neb Sarai police station was killed by 4 goons for allegedly raising his voice against gambling.
According to police, Sahil was involved in a quarrel with four goons — Saukat Ali, Sabir, Sajid and Sonu — on January 26. They then shot two bullets in his abdomen and hip, following which the deceased was taken to nearby Batra hospital where he succumbed to injuries during treatment.
“Sahil had gone to DDA park under Neb Sarai police station for an evening walk on Sunday. He was intercepted by the four accused. They first slapped him and then pumped two bullets into his abdomen and hip,” said a senior police official of south district police.
People present in the park took him to nearby Batra hospital where he battled for his life for five hours and then died. The official added that one of the accused, Sajid, was arrested by the police and a hunt had been launched to nab other culprits.
During investigation, it was revealed that counter-complaints were filed at the Neb Sarai police station by the accused as well as the deceased some time earlier.
Sahil had filed a complaint against the accused for harassing his sister while the latter had accused Sahil of getting into quarrels with them frequently.
