India to Nepal by train soon!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India and Nepal will have a railway line that would connect the two capital cities, New Delhi and Kathmandu, they made the agreement on Saturday when his Nepali counterpart KP Oli visited India. “We have agreed to work towards a new railway line to connect Kathmandu with India,” the PM said while giving a strong statement about the strong relations between the two countries.

“We have strong relations when it comes to the aspect of defence and security and are committed towards stopping misuse of our open borders. We aim at improving waterways and railways with Nepal. Today, we have reviewed the progress in various such connectivity projects and agreed to expedite their implementation,” PM Modi said. “There is a long history of India’s contribution towards Nepal’s development. I have assured PM Oli that this will continue in the future as per Nepal’s priorities,” he added.

After this KP Oli said “Nepal attaches great importance to its relations with India,” adding “our countries enjoy age-old historical ties and have many things to offer to each other.” Oli also wants PM Narendra Modi to visit Nepal and said “I invited PM Modi to pay a visit to Nepal at the earliest convenient time, I am hopeful that the visit will take place soon.” The two PMs also inaugurated the India-Nepal petroleum products pipeline from New Delhi.
