With just a few days for the grand wedding of Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and Delhi- based businessman Anand Ahuja. While we await to see glimpses from their wedding, many may wonder how did the two meet and fall in love.
As per a report in a publication, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja were introduced to each other by their mutual friend Pernia Qureshi in 2014. Pernia was Sonam’s stylist then and was also good friends with Anand.
Anand Ahuja proposed to Sonam Kapoor within a month of their meeting and the two have been together since. Anand made the first public appearance with Sonam in 2016 at Akshay Kumar’s party for Hollywood star Will Smith. They have often been spotted together at events and parties and have even gone on family vacations together. Though the two never confirmed their relationship, their social media PDA was a give-away for fans.
After months of speculation, the Kapoors and Ahujas on May 1 made Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding date official by releasing a joint statement that read: “The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
The wedding preparations are on in full swing at the Kapoor household. Their grand bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai has been decorated with lighting and the wedding fervour is evident.
