Two highways from Delhi to become operational from May 26

Date:

The wait for the new Delhi-Meerut Expressway is finally coming to an end with the inauguration date to be Saturday, May 26. The special event is being shared with the four-year rule celebration of the Modi government.

The vast stretch of the highway would help you reach Meerut from Delhi and vice versa in just 45 minutes. Once Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the first phase of the Expressway, a road show is also expected to take place from Akshardham Temple till the Delhi-UP border.

Another highway scheduled for inauguration on the same day is the Eastern Peripheral Expressway linking Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, and Palwal in Haryana and is supposedly going to be the longest highway in Delhi NCR capacitating a stretch of 135 kilometres.

The Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari also posted a video on his Twitter handle that can give you a glimpse of the Expressway.

The Delhi-Meerut Expressway is a signal-free 9 kilometres long stretch with fourteen lanes that would drastically reduce the travel time from Delhi to Meerut.

Now, with this highway being operational, one can easily get to the hills of Uttarakhand in less time and enjoy a refreshing summer. Your favourite holiday destination is no longer far from Delhi. All you need to do is pack your bags, book a hotel, pick your vehicles and there you go.
