Planning to move abroad? look up these countries for easy work permits

Date:

Looking to work abroad? As easy as the thought may sound, the difficulty of paperwork gets everyone worked up. There are a lot of questions that pop up that require planning and logistical arrangements. Which country, visa issues, work permit, openness of the country to welcome people in them…these are some questions that can be a struggle.

Most companies have a well laid down procedure for people where the home company is sponsoring the person. So, that gets taken care of. The country and the duration are specified by the company. The issue comes in when self-employed people have to travel and move abroad.

One of the foremost requirements is a passport with the following in place –
• An expiry date of more than a year.
• Enough visa pages.
• Documentation to show that you have money to sponsor yourself and to get back to your home country if the need arises.
• If you’re under 30, you can get a working holiday visa. Which lets you work while you are on a specified holiday in that country.

Here are some countries that are easy on work permits and visas –

The Netherlands
Entrepreneurs are welcome here. Start-up professionals can apply for a one-year residency, where in they can collaborate with a local mentor and build the business. After 12 months, you can extend your stay and apply for the standard self-employed work permit.

Ireland
Ireland’s work visas are applicable across age groups. For the 12-month working holiday authorisation, you have to either be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate courses or have graduated in the past one year. A fee of €300, proof of a return ticket and €1,500 for expenses are a must. Workers who don’t meet these requirements can apply for general work permits, though these are more difficult to get.

Cambodia
Cambodia remains one of the most popular countries for expats to get a visa in. You can get a long-term business visa without being sponsored by a company. However, despite the name it doesn’t technically allow the holder to work in Cambodia. To get that legally, you have to apply for a work permit.

New Zealand
This gorgeous country has great weather and beautiful scenery. There’s every kind of landscape available here – tropical beaches to mountain glaciers.
A working holiday visa will last for 12 months. It’s easy to find jobs in retail and hospitality.

Singapore
Singapore’s working holiday programme is only for students and graduates and lasts for six months. It’s also pretty expat-friendly, as English is commonly spoken.

Other countries which are easy to migrate from India are –

  • Belize
  • Ecuador
  • Seychelles
  • Panama
  • Paraguay
  • Macedonia
  • Hungary
  • Dominican Republic
  • Russia
