If you love cooking groups on Facebook, you might have to shell out some money in order to continue engaging in those communities.
Facebook is testing a new subscription feature that will allow group administrators to levy $4.99 to $29.99 a month for exclusive membership in certain groups.
In its initial phase, parenting, cooking and home cleaning groups will first get the new feature. Facebook won’t be getting any money out of the membership fee as of now.

Facebook’s auto-playing ads to be introduced in the Messenger too from the coming week. The social media giant has been working on this and they have been experimenting with this feature with a few users.
“People will remain in control of their experience,” a Facebook spokesperson said.
But, however, it doesn’t seem like these ads can be disabled by the users. It is said that the Messenger will enable an option of hiding specific ads. Along with which an option of reporting and adjusting preferences will also be rolled out.
Facebook said in a statement:
“We will be rolling out video ads gradually and thoughtfully. People that use Messenger each month are our top priority and they will remain in control of their experience.”
