Restaurant worker allegedly stabbed to death while on duty in Delhi

A 23-year-old restaurant worker was allegedly stabbed to death inside a restaurant in South Delhi’s Saket area yesterday.

The incident took place inside the Nukkad Wala restaurant in Saket where the victim Hemant was stabbed in the chest at around 6.00 PM. Hemant was rushed to the nearest Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital in Malviya Nagar where he was declared dead by the doctors.

According to the initial investigations carried out by Vijay Kumar, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (south), Hemant was working at the restaurant along with three other men.

Hemant’s colleagues were also interrogated, and the crime and forensic teams were called at the location for the investigations.

According to a report posted by ANI, the victim’s father Pradeep suspected someone from the hotel staff behind the murder. His brother said that the restaurant is situated in a posh colony of Delhi, and several CCTV cameras are installed both inside and outside the restaurant that could help in identifying the killers.
