Naseeruddin Shah’s comment on Virat Kohli takes the social media by storm

Date:

Actor Naseeruddin Shah called Virat Kohli the ‘world’s worst behaved’ player following the India skipper’s spat with the Australian captain Tim Paine on Day 4 the second test between India and Australia in Perth.

In the opening session, which was completely dominated by Australia, Paine came into physical contact with Kohli which was followed by some exchange of words between the two skippers. The incident happened in the 71st over of the innings when Kohli collided with his counterpart in an attempt to collect the ball which was played towards midwicket by Paine for a run. The Indian skipper, after collecting the ball, started walking back to his fielding position when Paine followed him till few steps and some exchange of words happened between the two of them, as per ESPNcricinfo.

Naseeruddin Shah took to Facebook and expressed that Virat Kohli is ‘not just the world’s best batsman but also the worst behaved player’and also took a jibe at him by saying that ‘he has no intention of leaving the country’.

The Facebook post sparked a lot of debates with Kohli fans taking violent stances against Shah and justifying that the aggression was necessary to beat Australia, while some stood by Shah in criticising Kohli.

U r reel star but he is real star ….” and “I guess sir Australia has 5 World Cups with all the players behaving worst than Kohli.. I guess this attitude is needed to keep the spirit up..!!” to “Thanks for being vocal about this. Negating his batting brilliance with some very disgraceful acts.
