Kolkata heat to grip Parliament today

The midnight drama in Kolkata with the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee sitting on a dharna and CBI officers being detained in Kolkata, will lead to some stormy scenes in Parliament on Monday.

Opposition leaders spoke to Mamata to express their support and the opposition will not allow the house to function especially in the upper house where it has the numbers.

CBI on Sunday raided Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar’s residence in the evening over allegations of involvement in chit fund scams in the state.

Five CBI officers were detained by police outside Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar’s house. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was also present at Rajeev Kumar’s house.

Besides with the Lok Sabha elections just months away it will be a political cocktail that will unfold In the house on Monday.
